In keeping with our wonderful Holy Cross tradition, we celelbrate May Day with a May Day Queen, Honor Court, and Honor Guard. All parishioners are invited!

Each year we invite the current 8th grade parishioners to participate in the many roles of this celebration.

Celebration of Mary

We hope you will bless us with your presence and accept this invitation to participate in our parish May Day celebration of Mary.In keeping with our tradition we will have a May Day Queen, Honor Court, and Honor Guard.

We will have a rehearsal after our 5:20 PM Mass on the Friday prior. We will begin with 5:20 PM Mass where our May Queen will be chosen along with court and honor guard. This will be followed by a pot luck dinner and we will then proceed to rehearsal. Bring your friends and family.

On Sunday we will meet with our May Court, Honor Guard and Queen at 9:15 AM in the parish center and will begin our wonderful celebration.

We invite all our parishioners and their friends and families to join all of us for this wonderful Holy Cross Tradition.  We want to be sure to include all our parish eighth graders and we will need all of you.  There are many roles to the honored tradition and your presence is needed very much.

Our May Queen should emulate the life of Mary.  Do you have, or do you know another eighth grade girl who has, these qualities of Mary: are they/you kind, forgiving, loving, caring, humble, obedient and faithfilled.
If you would like to nominate someone or yourself, please just send us a short note of the way you see Mary
in this person or how you try to follow Mary’s example in your own life.

We also honor our fine young men in 8th grade. They can become part of the May Court Honor Guard. The May Court is escorted by their Honor Guard! If you know of, or are one of our fine young men that also shares the traits of forgiveness, caring, humility, and are faith-filled…drop me a short note or call with your nomination.

IT’S A QUICK TURN AROUND TIME SO … Return a short note to us nominating either a girl or guy or both by the due date or call Donna Jacobi at 621-8133 or email her at donnajacobi@hotmail.com.
