The job of the Volunteer Coordinator is to recruit people who are interested and willing to be involved in the different ministries of the parish.

The coordinator obtains parishioner names from completed census cards from those indicating a desire to volunteer and in what capacity, then contacts these parishioners and matches them with the needs of different parish ministries. The coordinator maintains written descriptions of the volunteer positions available and is also responsible for implementing Volunteer Sign Up days and Discernment seminars.

This ministry is critical for the success of all ministries at Holy Cross. All parishioners have something to share with the greater community and they need to know that they are welcomed and valued for the contributions they offer. As for those who manage and participate in ongoing ministries, it is important for them to know that they are supported in their loyal efforts.
