We thank all those who pledged $73,136 to our $75,687 quota for CMA 2009/10. Of this, $4,355 remains in unpaid pledges. Please have your payment to the Diocese by May 31, if at all possible, or the Parish will have to cover the shortfall. As it is, we will be taking $2,551 from our ordinary income to meet our quota of $75, 687. Many thanks for your great support.
*You have until May31, 2010 to pay your pledge.

If you chose not to give to CMA, you can help the Parish by giving to our Special Parish Appeal. (See Dec 6 bulletin for form.) We need all pledges in by December, but you have until May 31, 2010 to pay your pledge.
Right after Christmas we hope to start calling those who have given in the past, but have not yet given this year. If anyone, would like to help with these phone calls, please call contact the parish office at 663-2244 or e-mail hc008@aol.com.
The Diocese has given us the goal of $76,000 for 2009. We must increase our number of donors in order to meet this. We NEED You!
Last year we had over $62,000 in pledges from 450 registered families (out of a potential 700-900 who give regularly). That's, at most, 50% of our parishioners carrying 90% of the load. Please prayerfully consider what sacrificial offering you can make to support the greater church.
Our theme this year is 76 by 12!...that's $76,000 in pledges by the 12th month of December. We are focused on successfully completing the pledge phase of the CMA campaign before the new year. Your contribution is critical. We need everyone to fill out a pledge card and return it now so we can complete the pledge part of CMA by the the weekend of December 5/6. You can also conveniently make your pledge online at
http://dor.org/sd/onlinegift_CMA.htm#donation. Remember, you have until the end of May 2010 to complete payment of your pledge.
Some can give a lot. Some can give a little. All can give some.
Please note that if we don't make our quota through contributions, Holy Cross is still responsible to make up the difference, and this can only come from resources already allocated for other uses within our parish.

The Diocesan Catholic Ministries Appeal is a good example of the stewardship of treasure.
It
challenges us to look beyond our own needs and offer a share of our personal
blessings with our sisters and brothers.
We can show our thanks
and joy for the gifts we have received and show our love for God and one
another.
Simply, as we give as an act of thanksgiving and worship, we strengthen our diocesan church and provide assistance to those who need it most.

Just over half of our regular givers are carrying the load for ALL of us. Will YOU join 85 more families and give just $1.50 per week? That’s just $77 for the year. Please don’t wait another day. WE NEED MORE FAMILIES TO PARTICIPATE. Please consider offering your share to the CMA or to the Special
Parish Appeal via the parish office. Call the parish office at 663-2244 or You can also pledge online http://dor.org/sd/onlinegift_CMA.htm#donation
Why do I have to give?
Christian giving is an extension of the ongoing relationship you're building with God. If you talk the talk, then you're required to walk the walk. You cannot refuse to do the thing Jesus talks about constantly...to give of yourself and your money.
What happens when I give?
God's currency isn't the same as out currency. With God, when you give something away to help someone else, you're planing it as a seed for a harvest to come up in your own life.
So how much do I give?
Please know that God doesn't need your money. He can do all things without you or your resources. You need to give as a part of your commitment and ongoing relationship with God. God is faithful. When you offer your gift (God's Word says 10% of what you have) God will pour out such a blessing, there won't be room enough to receive it!
What if my finances are a mess and I can't give?
Messy finances seem to be the norm these days. But it's never too late to start to take steps to turn things around. And a huge part of that process is to start giving. It may be small at first, but God will honor that first step.
We must increase our number of donors in order to meet this year's goal. Please fill out your pledge card and return it TODAY. Remember...
Some can give a lot...Some can give a little...
All can give some.
If not you, who? If not now, when?
