In order to help each child reach his/her potential, curriculum guides have been developed for our schools. These follow the Learning Standards of NYS, the recommendations of the Interdiocesan Curriculum Committee, and the guidelines of the Diocese of Rochester. They also add a special dimension in order to teach the whole child. Great care is taken to provide for growth in Christian beliefs, values, and attitudes throughout the entire school program.
Our Mission
The Diocese of Rochester holds that Catholic schools serve as an extension of the Church's educational ministry, which continues the teaching mission of Jesus.
As a significant component of the life long faith formation, Catholic Schools assist families in fulfilling their mission to:
- Preserve and teach the doctrines of the Catholic faith
- Provide a learning faith community which fosters academic excellance
- Nurture young people to become service-oriented,responsible and self-disciplined individuals
Catholic Schools recognize the dignity of each child and the rights of parents as primary educators of their children.

Integration of Faith & Learning with Faith & Life
The
curriculum is the "work" of the school, and the means by which teachers
make a committed contribution to the children assigned to their care. According to the NYS Department of Education, curriculum is designed for teaching and learning. In Catholic education, curriculum has another dimension: the reflection of Gospel values. Curriculum integrates faith and learning, faith and life.
